Album: Boots Randolph’s Yakety Sax

Boots Randolph. Boots Randolph’s Yakety Sax. Monument, 1963. (on vinyl, from a thrift store)

Side one is titled “(Yakety Songs),” and is exactly what you would expect from an album featuring what became the Benny Hill theme. It’s corny and stupid, but fun. Side two (which is significantly longer) is inaptly titled “(‘Soul’ Music),” and consists of extremely boring elevator music. 6/10 (Okay).
