T.H. White. The Ill-Made Knight, from The Once and Future King. Ace, 1987 (originally published 1940). 202 pages.
The story of Sir Lancelot’s relationship with Guenever and God. It doesn’t have much of a plot; instead it’s just a series of Things That Happened, with the main focus being a study of the characters. It’s a long way away from the style of The Sword and the Stone and really shouldn’t be in the same book, but it’s quite good taken on its own.
